Unlike braided fibre ropes, the construction of an EXTREEMA® round sling is based on parallel laid fiber technology that make up the core.
The core of an EXTREEMA® round sling is always made of 100% high performance fibers, such as Dyneema® or general HMPE. This makes the slings up to 15 times stronger than steel on a weight for weight basis. Comparison between equal slings in HMPE/Dyneema® and wire rope sling will give you a weight reduction up to 80% compared to wire rope.
These round slings are now produced bio-based with Dyneema® fibers.
A jacket, sleeve or cover mainly serves to keep the core yarn strands together. It is important to consider the circumstances of the lifting job in choosing the right sleeve for your sling. The right cover protects the core material from getting damaged in an early stage but in addition appropriate supplementary protections (on the bearing points, sharp objects etc.)
Dyneema® advantages:
The slings are light weight and easy to handle which makes them extreamly ergonomic for heavy lifting.
Less than 1% stretch at WLL, therefor suitable for calculated lifts.
Small diameter due to stronger material than regular polyester roundslings.
D:d down to 1:1 for roundslings up to 150T, above this D:d=1:1,5
Resistant against chemicals, but do always inform us if chemicals are involved
Does not absorb water, Extreema® slings float on water
Longer life cycle compared to polyester slings
No rust or corrosion like on steel wire ropes
Material: 100% Dyneema® or general HMPEMarking: According to standard, CE-markedTemperature range: -50°C up to +70°CStandard: EN 1492-2 except materialSafety factor: 7:1
According to the EN-1492 regulations for safe use of roundslings the sling should always be protected on the anchoring point (shackles, pins, axis, trunions, etc.) as well as the lifting appliance (cranehook).
The main application for our EP-series is the protection of lifting equipment and the object that will be lifted for a safer lifting operation.
With Extreema® protection roundslings and webbing slings have a significant longer life span and they will make your working conditions a lot safer.
EP-L protection is made from 100% Dyneema®, the world’s strongest fiber™. The color is white. It can be delivered with or without velcro and in various dimensions. It is easy to take on and off and the perfect solution to protect your sling.
The EP-L protection is extremely durable and stretchable. It has a proven track-record in many industries and for many applications. The protection prevents damage to the payload; it is chemical resistant and extremely resistant to cuts, abrasion and puncture. This makes it the perfect fit for repetitive loadouts of payloads with extremely sharp edges.
Also available as EP-XL & XXL Extreema® Protect
Features Extreema® EP-L protection:
High cut resistance
High tear resistance
High abrasion resistance
Good resistance to chemicals
Does not take up water
Easy to take on and off with velcro
Material: 100% Dyneema® Marking: According to standardStandard: EN 1492-2 except material
Highly flexible protection for use with webbing slings and heavy lift round slings at very sharp edges.
Adjustable to any lifting sling.
No fixed angle
Protection against extreme abrasion (light version) and sharp edges (heavy version).
Made from 100% Dyneema®.
Very light compared to traditional protection systems.
Flexible in use.
Will always follow the shape of the load.
High quality velcro for solid fit.
Available in various sizes and lengths.
Long lifespan.
Because of the two velcro straps the Corner Protector is extremely easy to mount on the sling. The flexible Dyneema® pad makes it possible to use the sling in any situation, without a fixed angle.
The Corner Protector is perfect for repetitive loadouts of payloads with extremely sharp edges. The lifetime of a round sling will be significantly longer and much safer with Extreema® corner protections on the bearing points and angles, sharp edges.
The main application for Extreema® protection products is the protection of lifting equipment and the object that will be lifted. It can be mounted on synthetic round slings, webbing slings, steel wire rope and chains, lashings and synthetic ropes.

The extra thin WLL 3T, WLL 5T & WLL 10T EXTREEMA® XS round slings make it possible to lift heavy payloads, when you have to work with limited spaces.
With an extremely small diameter and a D:d ratio of 1:1 (recommended 1:1,5 for longer life cycle), it also enables you to work with regular classic model bow shackles instead of more expensive wide body shackles and lift on the pin. The slings are available in various colors and very short effective working lengths (0,3 m-20 m). Moreover, it is possible to equip the sling with different kinds of protections.
By making use of the WLL 3T (6T basket), WLL 5T (10T basket) and WLL 10T (20T basket) EXTREEMA® slings, you can discard all polyester slings from 1T up to 20T. This saves you costs in storage, logistics, purchasing and disposal, while supplying your employees with a more efficient and faster workflow.
