Rope Examination
Obtain a thorough understanding of wire rope understanding of wire rope construction, performance, applications, and factors which cause deterioration. On completion of the course participants will be able to determine whether or not a wire rope is suitable for continued service.
Lifting Gear Inspection
Recent changes to legislation (LOLER) are reflected in this course, which enables participants to apply the statutory requirements for inspection, rejection and reporting of lifting gear in service.
Lifting Equipment Appreciation
This course is ideal for people such as purchasers and specifiers who need to be aware of the issues relating to lifting gear. Today it gives a general understanding of the different types of lifting equipment, current legislation, and the best working practices involved with inspection, maintenance and safe use.
Lifting & Slinging Safely
Obtain a general understanding of the legal requirements and safe-working practices (including pre-use inspection) relating to mechanical lifting. On completion of the course participants will be able to apply slinging methods safely and successfully.
Wire Rope Splicing
These specialized courses give a thorough understanding of the legal requirements and safe-working practices relating to the splicing of wire ropes, enabling successful participants to undertake the splicing skill safely and successfully. Mechanical splices differ from hand splices in that they include compressed ferrules in the termination.
Wire Rope Socketing
The latest changes related to legislation and safe working practices are reflected in these courses. On completion participants will be able to apply the socketing skill safely and efficiently. Resin and White metal are the two mediums used in socket terminations.
Crane Inspection
This course gives a thorough understanding of the legal requirements and safe working practices used for the inspection of a variety of different cranes. Specific courses are available, enabling participants to inspect particular types of cranes safely and successfully.
